Cleveland State University: James A. Rhodes Tower Renovations:

CC&E provided cost estimating services for the transformation of Cleveland State University’s James A. Rhodes Tower, a key initiative aligned with the university’s Master Plan. The project included converting 13 floors of academic office space into student housing and renovating 30,000 square feet on the lower levels to support residential life. A new entry pavilion and pedestrian connection from Chester Avenue will enhance campus accessibility.

The renovation required extensive MEP system upgrades, life safety improvements, and elevator modifications. The design is was developed in accordance with historic preservation guidelines to support state and federal tax credit funding. CC&E’s estimates also incorporated enabling work, abatement, data center relocation, and other critical project cost adders.
